A carnival of food, fun and wine, the Annual Wine Tasting Festival of Pune is one of the main attractions of the city. This weekend event, generally organized during the month of December, brings together all the wine enthusiasts, food and music lovers of the city. With some of the best varieties of wines, delectable food, heart-warming music and vibrant ambience; the Pune Wine Festival is actually a celebration of life and all good things in it.



Organized by Monsoon Winds, a company formed by the members of Pune Gourmet Club, Pune Wine Fest has become one of the most talked about wine festivals in the country. Organized in the posh area of Koregaon Park, the festival attracts wine connoisseurs from every part of the city. The lush surrounding of Rohi Villa further enhances the experience with its manicured lawns surrounded by beautiful palms.

The festival generally serves a whopping 80 variety of exquisite wines. The fine drinks brought together from different parts of the world can take anyone on a sensory tour. While practiced taste buds can enjoy the sensory riot, the beginners do not need to get disappointed at all. There are educative wine appreciation sessions too in the festival where one can learn how to enjoy and appreciate the heavenly drink.

The food court here serves a variety of delicious cuisines. A haven for foodies, the food court offers Indian, Lebanese, BBQ, French, Italian, Thai, Iranian and Spanish dishes.

Events during Pune Wine Festival

If you are thinking it’s all about food and wine, you are wrong. The fest is hot favourite amongst music lovers as well. The live brand performances attract as many people as the wine does. The festival also features an excellent art gallery where you can see a number of splendid paintings. The main attraction of the art gallery is live painting, where armatures as well as veteran artists paint live in the gallery. One can also go for wine shopping here. The shops here not only offer rare variety of wine, but also a wide range of wine accessories.

The fest is scheduled on December 14 and 15 in 2013. To make the fest even more interesting and memorable cooking with wine shows are also being organized in 2013. The shows will be hosted by celebrity chefs. Price of the pass is INR 500 for each person. Passes are available in their site www.winefest.in. If booked in advance you can avail a discount of 10% on the pass price. Passes are also available over the counter during the festival. Children below 12 years of age do not require a pass if accompanied by an adult.
