Inaugurated on February 4, 2002, this Temple has idols of various Hindu gods. The Temple has the idols of various gods including Balaji, Padmavati, Lakshmi Nrusimha, Garud, Hanuman, Ram-Lakshman and Sita, Godha Deviand and Sudarsan Chakra.

History of Balaji Temple

Balaji Temple in Pune is administered by the famous Ahobila Mutt. This institution is more than 600 years old and runs various temples in the country. It is also believed that this institution came into existence at the instance of Lord Laxmi Nrushima himself.

Goddess Padmavati on the right hand side and Lord Laxmi Nrushima on the left hand side presides the auspicious wedding of Balaji and Padmavati. Schedule of Darshan

Devotees can visit Balaji Mandir in Pune at as early as 7.00 am for the first darshan. However, the Temple remains closed from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Temple remains close from 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm. It again opens for devotees at 4.00 pm daily and remains open till 9.30 pm every day. However, this schedule may change in case of festivals.

How to reach Balaji Mandir in Pune

Balaji Mandir is located about 40 kms away from Pune station at SUS Road, Pashan. There are direct buses available from Swargate to Balaji Temple Pune. The various buses you can catch from Swargate to reach the Temple are 0700, 0715, 0845, 0945 and 1045. These buses will charge you approximately Rs 20 per trip. Another option is you can also take a shared taxi from Swargate bus stop. These will cost you approximately Rs 40 per trip. It takes about 60-90 minutes to reach the Balaji Temple from Swargate.
