Following the rescue of his wife Kaikeyi, the king had endowed his wife with three wishes, one of them being the exile of Shri Ramachandra. This has lead to the unfolding of the actions of epic Ramayana. In the ageing Chakreshwar Temple, one can observe the Varah Avatar that is the third Avatar of Lord Vishnu. This incarnation of Lord Vishnu is a rare sight. Though the Mandir is age old, yet the remnants of the sculpture are worth seeing.
