Regional Transport Authority of Pune launched "Rent A Bike Scheme" last year, under which the residents or tourists can hire en electric scooter called Yo Bikes to commute within the city. In the first phase, three franchises under the brand name Switch were appointed to rent Yo Bikes in Wanowarie, Kothrud and Chinchwad. The rent is charged per minute instead of the distance travelled.
