The Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) is the chief provider of electricity in the district of Pune. The Maharashtra State Electricity Board's Pune receiving station and its 14 sub stations have bagged a prestigious certificate of merit from TUV Germany. According to reports, this is the first time that any MSEB station has been given such a certificate of merit in the state. Special attention has been paid for the preventive maintenance of the sub stations which has helped minimise the duration of interruption in power supply in the district. Importance has been given to keeping a well stocked supply of electricity in Pune.
